Uniphore — Production Case Study

Role: Director of UX & Project Management
Company: Uniphore
Timeline: Multi-quarter project (production cycles, prototypes, and feature delivery)
Scope: Conversational AI enterprise software, including Q for Sales, Q Real-Time, and broader product suite unification
Teams: Product, Engineering, Design, QA, Customer Success

Overview

Uniphore develops conversational AI solutions that enhance enterprise customer interactions. I led production coordination, UX strategy, and product integration initiatives, ensuring features and prototypes were delivered on time, aligned with business goals, and maintained high technical and design quality.

Key initiatives included Q for Sales and Q Real-Time, as well as unifying the broader Uniphore suite. I built interactive Figma prototypes, demonstrating a new design system to pitch concepts to executives, socialize the vision across teams, and secure buy-in for cross-product initiatives.

Production Responsibilities

  • Cross-Team Leadership: Coordinated product, engineering, design, and QA teams to maintain delivery momentum and resolve blockers.

  • UX & Feature Delivery Oversight: Directed UX strategy and guided development and release of enterprise AI features.

  • Timeline & Milestone Management: Tracked schedules, identified risks, and implemented mitigation strategies to meet deadlines.

  • Product Strategy & Executive Pitches: Created Figma prototypes for Q and Q Real-Time integration, demonstrating a pioneering design system, and pitched unified product vision to executives, socializing concepts to secure buy-in for suite-wide initiatives.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Presented progress updates to leadership and external stakeholders, incorporating feedback into development cycles.

  • Process Optimization: Streamlined workflows and documentation, improving transparency and efficiency across teams.

Challenges

  • Aligning UX design, feature development, and enterprise goals while managing competing priorities across distributed teams.

  • Coordinating fast-paced updates while maintaining quality, technical feasibility, and user experience.

  • Socializing a broader suite vision and getting executive approval for cross-product integration.

Outcomes & Impact

  • Delivered enterprise conversational AI features on schedule, meeting functional, UX, and quality requirements.

  • Successfully pitched and secured executive buy-in for unifying the product suite beyond Q, enabling strategic cross-product integration.

  • Built a Figma prototype demonstrating a pioneering design system, enabling faster alignment and clear UX/technical vision across stakeholders.

  • Improved cross-team coordination and visibility, resulting in faster iteration and fewer production bottlenecks.

  • Strengthened stakeholder confidence through transparent reporting, risk management, and measurable UX improvements.

Why This Matters

This project demonstrates my ability to lead production and UX strategy in complex enterprise software environments, balancing technical constraints, design priorities, and cross-functional collaboration — while driving strategic vision, pioneering design systems, building prototypes, and influencing executives to deliver high-impact products.

Q Before: Legacy interface with fragmented workflows and inconsistent UX.

Q After: Redesigned interface using the new design system, improving clarity, efficiency, and user experience.

Prototype presented to executives to socialize and gain buy-in for unified product suite.
